Another trip over Gate Pass. Off to explore Tucson.
First stop the visitor centre which is housed in the Pima County Historical Court which is in Presido district of Tucson.
The building
Got good info here. There is a trolley that is free that goes through several districts of Tuscon. It's not necessarily for tourists but you get an idea of what's happening. We stopped in an area with lots of eateries. It's close to the University so a little trendy for us old folk. Walked back downtown from there. Got back to our car. Free Parking!
We looked for and found a recommended resturant in South Tucson. There was a long wait and
nowhere to park. So opted for the one across the street which was in operation from 1948. Portions size was amazing.

Dave's chimichanga was stuffed full of shredded beef. At least a pound. I had Sonora Flat Burritos which was a pile of shredded beef on a kinda piece of corn bread topped with an egg.
I had started eating it so it's a bit mushy. Brought home enough for another meal. Not only that it was happy hour 99 cents for a sleeve of beer or 2.50 for margaritas.
Tummies full we headed home but not over the Gate Pass. Whew!
