Las Vegas NV Fremont Street. Feb 23, 24

Today we started using our three day transit pass. As we missed the BHX express we took the regular bus from our campground. It took three different busses. Every one of the bus drivers were extremely helpful.  Not only telling us where to get off but telling us where to go (to catch the next bus). 
Fremont was loud, colourful, vibrant with lots of street performers, movie screen above our heads, flashing lights, casinos and bars!
We walked down Freemont away from the Fremont Street Experience toward the quieter parts of the Street. Just as we were about to turn back I saw a very large praying mantis.
Some Info
Behind this enormous bug was a container park. There were restaurants and store all made out of large metal shipping containers. 
Back to the noisy side. Someone got stuck on the zip line, looked like a child and staff came out to get her to the end.
We visited the Golden Nugget just to check it. Too noisy to stay for a drink or meal. 
Ventured into the Fremont Casino where it was much quieter. There was a resturant offering a prime rib special. There was a wait so we decided to have a drink at the bar while we waited. Paid for our drinks and went to our table. The two drinks cost the same amount within a few cents as our dinner. 🫤 Things that make you go hmmmmm!

Today we followed the road less traveled to Palatki and the even less traveled road to Honanki Historical Sites. Rough gravel roads to both but the road to  Honanki was even rougher. The toad did an awsome job. Took a licking and kept on ticking. The landscape was awe inspiring. Pictures do it no justice... At the sites are cliff dwellings of the Sinagua Peoples. The Sinagua were farmers growing beans, corn and squash.   The dwellings were constructed and  inhabited from AD 1150 to 1350.  Also at these sites are petroglyphs dating from 12,000 to 20,000 years ago. Dwelling  Petroglyphs  These are from a grotto which was visited for centuries or even millenia by hunter gathering Peoples before the cliff dwellings were built. Nothing much to report. Nothing but relaxing, relaxing and even more relaxing. Didn't even leave the campsite except to walk Suki. One of our fellow campers he saw wild pigs with babies. I keep hoping to spot them. No luck so far.  Photo to share is one of our neighbours. Very strong first impression.  The rest needs some work!                       🐗🐗🐗
