Enjoying our first day back in the desert. With all the giant cactus and big sky.
We took a quick trip into Tucson to buy some food. Even though we didn't drive the Devil's Backbone we did drive Gate Pass. Four miles of narrow, curvy, twisty and steep road with lots of traffic. It did have 2 paved lanes but with no shoulders - desert killer plants right to the edge and sharp drop offs.

The fur babies were happy to be back.Looking lovingly at the desert and enjoying the heat. Strange place the desert need the heater at night and the air conditioner during the day.
Spent most of the day out side right up to sunset.
The desert is fascinating.
