Lake Casa 🏠 Blanca st.pk TX. Jan 07, 24

Did some exploring of the park today.

Another armadillo sighting but by the time I got there it was in its burrow. 

 Made a stop at the Casa Blanca

Spanish style house with rooms around the central courtyard. 

There was no information at the building but I found some info online.

Built in 1754 it has been a home, a  mission and post office.

Next was at the amphitheater. Built in stone no information found.

Then  to the picnic sites by the beach. About a 1 1/2 miles from the campsites.

I tested the water and it's not cold. Leaving a swim a definate posibility.

The end of a perfect day came with a loud knock on our door. Opened the door to see two smiling Mexican fellows holding out 2 bowls of homemade Charro beans.

And that's the end of 
                     another wonderful day.
