Guadalupe River st.pk. TX Jan 25, 24

We have found the sun.

We have traveled north about 340 km a 5 hour drive. We drove through San Antonio another big city. This time I sat in the navigators seat. Once again we did just fine. And arrived safe and sound. Ready to soak up a few rays. ☀️

This campground is one of the best we've been in. Each site is separated from the others by trees which are Ashe Juniper cedars.
Fun not so fun fact. In the 1800 German settlers moved into this area. Their  journals described vast praires, wild fires and herds of bison. Within 200 years because of fire suppression, fencing and over grazing the environment was destroyed and the Ashe Junipers took over.

Tomorrow will start the exploring of the park, surrounding area and even San Antonio.
