Did a quick grocery run in the rain. Then a nap to the sound of rain on the roof. So relaxing.
Then off to Dew Drop Jazz and Social Hall. Built in 1895 for the benevolent society. One of the first places outside of New Orleans to have jazz bands play.
It is now run by the Friends of the Dew Drop. They hold 12 concerts a year. How incredible that we happened to be here at the right time!

Setting up
On the drums π₯ Herlin Riley, on the bass Max Moran, on the sax Roderick Paulin, and on the piano πΉ David Torkanowsky. Superb!!! Herlin played the drums like crazy amazing - smiling and laughing the whole time. He was just plain having fun.
And there was food...
...prepared by the women from the Baptist church next door.
Fried chicken or fish. We had the cat fish it came with potato salad, jambalaya, and green beans. The dessert was a brownie so good Dave raved about it. Mmmm mmmm good.
