Nice slow start to the day. Checked out the price of fire 🪵. It was very very expensive so decided that a propane fire pit would be the best option. 
This decision led to some internet browsing. Found some good deals at stores within driving range. 🚗 Phoned them and only found one with stock in store. I had them put one aside and we were off to Campers World in Tucson.
Big store with the biggest American flag I have ever seen. We found the fire pit and checked out the BBQ s. We bought one of those too. We got $100 off for joining Good Sam. Needed some other stuff so we did a bang up job of Black Friday shopping.
Back to camp to set up said BBQ.

Then off to take some pictures of Organ Pipe 🌵.

Port Hardy/Port McNeil/Alert Bay. September 24, 2024

This is the only picture I took of Port McNeil. It's much like Port Hardy.  The big difference I noticed is that Port Hardy has a Save-on-Foods and Port McNeil has an IGA. This is where we caught the ferry over to Alert Bay. You only pay one way. Foot passengers pay $7.60 except seniors who pay $0. I pays to get old! This is the first sign you see when getting off the ferry. This is the second one. Our first stop was at the visitor centre. The woman there had lived her whole life except 8 months in Calgary in Alert Bay.  She's First Nation and was very active in the community. She shared the many First Nations sites in Alert Bay. There are 2 burial grounds currently being used and one historical, a long house, many totems throughout the village and a cultural centre. She recommended seeing the cultural centre to start. It is still 🔥🌞🌞🔥 Every morning at 8:30 this playground fills up with noisy children. It's our walk up call. What a joyful noise to wake up to. This picture is from our front window. The breakfast restaurant is right under the green. Our room has a 'balcony' which translate to sliding balcony doors with a waist high plexiglass barrier so you can't leave the room. Our day was spent at the resort. Lots of relaxing in the shade 😎, eating 🍝, and happy hours 🍷🍸🍹🍺.            Loving all inclusive! Dave found this great 3-D wall muriel that I had not noticed.  A close up. Last day was most relaxing!                          🎇 🎇 🎇
