Lake Charles. February 16

We made it out of the campground today!!!!! Time for a Walmart run.to stock up on essentials.
On recommendations from others at the park we went for Cajun eats at Steamboat Bill's
Parking was limited and almost full. By the time we left people were getting creative with their parking.
You order as you come in and then they bring the food to your table.
The food was good we had shrimp and crab gumbo and crawfish etouffee. We shared. Probably go back for crawfish boil.

We planned to go see the lighted boat parade but they cancelled it. Darn windy and still rainy probably a small craft warning. 
So we headed back to our cozy home away from home for dessert and a movie.

Left home at 3 am (pst) Feb19 and arrived in Lisbon Feb 20  8am (wet). First hours lost in a haze of exhaustion, jet lag, and mood swings.  But now its 11pm local time and jet lag under control its lime for bed. Big walk to day mostly down hill to the river through historic Lisbon. Not even a little bit levevel Finally at the bottom. Back home bus. For happy hour. Life is good.               🍷🍷🍷

Centre of the Universe

Our Crazy Train went to the centre of the universe! I had new glasses to pick up and Dave seemed to be impatient to leave. Finally he admitted he had a surprise for me. So off we went and I had no idea where we were going.  Low and behold we ended up at the giant golf ball on top of the mountain.  Yes the observatory. It has a working telescope and is one of two  Dominion Astrophisical Observitories. First opened in 1918.  And there were tours.   Model of the Telescope  The Actual Telescope

Neuvo Vallarta. February 25, 2025

It's still 🔥🔥🔥. Went for a walk saw these. Walked to the pharmacy for this. Because this And this. Bought a day  late! Spent the rest of the day in  the shade. Day drinking and eating. I love all inclusive resorts. The bartender ran after me to return my sandals.  In the evening we went for our specialty dinner. We had  Shrimp Salad to start. A little short on shrimp but amazing presentation. Next soup. Dave had Pumpkin and  I had Lime. Simply named but both exquisite. Main. Dave had the Fish and I had the Chicken. Dave loved his said it was spicy. Mine unbelievable. Chicken breast stuffed with spinach with a slightly sweet sauce and pureed carrot. We chose the coffee mousse for dessert and they played Happy Birthday when they they served Dave's. They lite the candle at the table.                   🌞🌞🌞
