Lafayette. January 28
Another day of getting things done. Once again we had to pack up and take the motorhome into town. Actually another part of town. It's been chilly enough to need our furnace which means propane was getting low. Not only that our site has electricity and power so we needed to make a stop at our friendly neighborhood sewer dump.
So after all this activity we stopped at the local boudin store.
I know it doesn't look like much but the parking lot is always busy. They also serve hot food at lunch (Monday to Friday). The owners Millard and Sandra (probably in their late seventies) were there to serve us and give a bit of conversation. A wide variety of topics were covered politics, their marriage of 57 years, that they sold the business to their son, what and how we should cook supper. I think you get the idea. Boudin is a very Cajun food staple so we picked up some for our dinner.
