New Orleans or Bust. Day 6 & 7
December 14
All in all a remarkable litle town. In the 1983 earthquake it was decimated. The town mayor was an engineer and helped restore the town. Lots of evidence that it is a strong community of resilient people.
Today has us leaving Julietta Winery in Carlsberg California. Needed to unhook and hook up to leave. Learned that we will need to pound out the pins! About 1 1/2 hour delay. So ended up on the road most of the day. Landed in Coalinga at the RC Baker Museum with only a small amount of light. Met David who is a fellow traveler who is now living in his motorhome. He's sold his house!
Dave made supper, we watched a movie until the lap top died, and off to bed.

Gas in Coalinga is the cheapest ever!
Per gallon!
It's all part of the museum.

So time to leave. No unhooking or hooking up but.... Battery on the car was dead once again. I think I have figured out what's draining it. π€
And we are off to Bakersfield and our first Boondocker Host. We parked in their drive way, hooked up with their electricity and will fill up with their water before leaving. We unhooked our car and drove into town. Got to do our laundry, do some grocery shopping at a discount grocery store and bought some gin.
$7.99. It is imported from Australia. Hmmmm
Finished watching our movie and then off the bed.
Tomorrow to Hespira followed by Romona and waiting for a response for 2 nights in Bonita.
