New Orleans or bust: Day 9 Dec17
December 17
Day started off well! Its possible we have the hook and unhook thing figured out. Knock on wood. Stopped for gas and it looks like we are averaging $0.48 US per mile.
I haven't done any driving as Dave knows how much I'm enjoying the desert landscapes.
Snow on them there mountains
Miles and miles of scrub land and these wonderful tree like thingies sprinkled sparsely around. This is one of the bigger ones. Many were only one stalk with a few fronds on top.
So many miles of this
The next thing I saw was these mega rocks on the mountain ( big hills) sides.
This is the the landscape where our hosts winery is.
There are these amazing metal sculptures on the property. Notice the big stones.
A picture of our host at Schwaesdall Winery in Romona which in on the out skirts of Sandiago.
We purchased an award winning (double gold) bottle of port. Also a candle from Christie's Candles.
And some snaps from our campsite.
Our next plans are two days camping on the beach at Eijlo Beach State Park close to Carlsbad California.
Then to be in Corpus Christi Texas for Christmas.
Are the boulders potential glacier rocks?
