Up and showered bight and early-10:30
 Took bus to an I Hop. However I didn't hop. With out realizing it  the stop was right in front of the discount mall. So we had to shop some more!!
Together we bought 4 pairs of shorts, denim capris, jean jacket, and 3 tops!
I think we will avoid that place for now.

After a break we went back we did a trial run to Caesar's Palace and the Coliseum. Which of course is the venue for Rod Stewart on my birthday!
One way by bus and one way walking.
Stopped in at Bellagio and had to take some pics of the conservatory.
And the Venetian glass in the lobby

For supper we went out to Diablos for enchiladas and our usual when there. Tequila shots and Dos Equis.

Port Hardy/Port McNeil/Alert Bay. September 24, 2024

This is the only picture I took of Port McNeil. It's much like Port Hardy.  The big difference I noticed is that Port Hardy has a Save-on-Foods and Port McNeil has an IGA. This is where we caught the ferry over to Alert Bay. You only pay one way. Foot passengers pay $7.60 except seniors who pay $0. I pays to get old! This is the first sign you see when getting off the ferry. This is the second one. Our first stop was at the visitor centre. The woman there had lived her whole life except 8 months in Calgary in Alert Bay.  She's First Nation and was very active in the community. She shared the many First Nations sites in Alert Bay. There are 2 burial grounds currently being used and one historical, a long house, many totems throughout the village and a cultural centre. She recommended seeing the cultural centre to start. It's about a 45  minute walk. Alert Bay is one of the earliest settlements in the North Island. In the early days the fishermen and loggers would come into...

It is still 🔥🌞🌞🔥 Every morning at 8:30 this playground fills up with noisy children. It's our walk up call. What a joyful noise to wake up to. This picture is from our front window. The breakfast restaurant is right under the green. Our room has a 'balcony' which translate to sliding balcony doors with a waist high plexiglass barrier so you can't leave the room. Our day was spent at the resort. Lots of relaxing in the shade 😎, eating 🍝, and happy hours 🍷🍸🍹🍺.            Loving all inclusive!
